December 20th, 2018 | First Entry

Ok, well I guess this is as any good place to start. I’ll work backwards and fill you in on we got to this point, but for now let’s start where we are today.

SEATTLE, WA 12/20/18

T-MINUS 2 WEEKS UNTIL WE MOVE OUT OF THE CONDO!

THE VIEW FROM THE WINDOW AS I TYPE THIS

11:00am, Sideways rain and 50 mph winds. I can tell you I’m not going to miss the winters and grey around here. After spending half of my adlut life living in this grey, I’m looking forward to actually having winters again

But I digress…

It’s a pretty eventful week around these parts. After months of slowly doing all the little things that need to be done before listing one’s home for sale, we’ve turned a page and things have shifted.

This week we finally have a signed offer for the purchase of the warehouse in Confluence PA. In addition, we’ve finally done the paperwork to sell the condo and are now on the countdown to getting the last of the things out (including us) and leaving it staged and ready to be put on the market.

It’s beginning to feel like this is really happening.

Are we crazy?

Are we really going to sell our home in one of the best neighborhoods in Downtown Seattle? Leave a warm quiet condo that is 3 blocks from everything and move our whole lives across the United States to a 1942, 12,000 sq ft. Chevy Dealership, in a rural Pennslyvania town with a population of 736?

Why yes, yes we are.

I know this might seem like a crazy notion, and even for us it seems quite insane; but oddly enough, for 2 married artists in their fifties and almost-fifties, this will be a dream-come-true. Literaly.

Again, I’m getting ahead of myself. Maybe I should start at the beginning and give you some backstory on who we are, and maybe this lunacy will make more sense to you the reader.

I’ll leave this for the second entry. Coming Soon: ‘Let’s go see Chomper!”
