Youghiogheny: Appalachian River with author Tim Palmer | OCT 14th

Event by Mountain Watershed Association and Tissue Farm

Join us for an evening with award-winning author and photographer Tim Palmer! Tim will present a slide show to accompany the new edition of his classic book, Youghiogheny: Appalachian River.

This event will be free of charge, hosted by our friends at Tissue Farm!

Tim’s Youghiogheny has been recognized by the Harrisburg Patriot-News as the “finest book ever written about a Pennsylvania River.”

The program will take us on a vivid photographic journey through the Youghiogheny watershed, from its source at the eastern Continental Divide to its ending at the Monongahela River near

Pittsburgh, with a special focus on the popular recreational attractions and wild nature of Ohiopyle State Park.

This brand new 2023 edition of the regional classic, published by the University of Pittsburgh Press, includes a fresh epilogue bringing many of the issues and themes of this beloved river up to date.

Following Tim’s presentation, Mountain Watershed Association will give a brief overview of our work to #DefendtheYough!

Come and enjoy an evening of exquisite photography, engaging stories, and deep reflections on a river that’s important and essential to us all. Plus a friendly chat with Tim Palmer
